In the last few months the spotlight both locally and nationally has been on the city of Flint. Newspapers, Blogs, and National Nightly News have all reported on the Water Crisis here in Flint. Yet again, God has called the church to serve and aid those that are in need. First Trinity has answered the call in a mighty way. Strangers both near and far have flooded our city and our church with resources to reach the masses by the truck load. These past few months has shown our city and country that love is still active in this present age. Donated products has allowed us to coordinate efforts to reach the masses and provide aid to our community at large.
The church is in her beauty and is standing tall in the city of Flint. Regina McCarthy, E.P.A. Administrator stated that “First Trinity is leading out in an impressive way”. We pray that our heart grow not weary in well doing (Gal. 6:9). For this reason, we have become a model to be followed. Our theme for 2016 “Transforming Disciples by Leadership” has moved from words of vision to a reality before our eyes. I ask that you share the news that the work is plenteous and the labors are few.
Every Tuesday and Friday we are at work with our water station here at the church from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. Join us, as we continue to answer the Call to Serve!
